Australia Day and New Zealand

I changed my flight to stay in Australia on Australia Day....and it was worth it!
Sorry for being lazy and not writing the Xmas and New Years Eve postings but I've been reeeelay busy as people like to say here...
Tomorow...or in about 14 Hours I'll be sitting on a plane to Christchurch, New Zealand and stay roughfly 4 weeks...my laptop battery is just dying...cheers!

Sydney and New Zealand

Jeeeeez it's already almost 4 month since I started to work at Allianz and now my last full week begins. It's been a very nice experience albeit there are some differences...for example: offices rooms for your own or shared offices are largely unknown...separators is the key word here...also it's absolutely uncommon for companies to have a canteen which means you don't get a company sponsored feed. So people either bring food from home or buy it at lunch break and most of'em immediately go back to their desk afterwards. Another thing is that the average leave entitlement in Australia is only 20 days! I suppose that must be due to the weather...no need to go on holidays if you can have that on every other weekend (which on it's own totally compensates everything) ...anyway it's been a nice time driven by pragmatism (hello Germany!) and I will stay in touch with some of the colleagues for sure

...but I'm looking forward to put my backpack back on my back (lovely wording, don't you think?). 24th January will be my last day in Sydney (for now) before I jump over to New Zealand for approximately a month...
